Roles & Responsibilities

Chefs:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver nutritious meals, adhering to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met at all times.
• Manage stock, order supplies, and minimise waste effectively.
• Lead and supervise kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service delivery.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen assistants and other staff members.

Kitchen Assistants:

• Support chefs with meal preparation and basic food handling tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing up and sanitising surfaces.
• Assist with stock rotation and storage of ingredients.
• Follow all food hygiene and safety regulations.
• Provide general kitchen support to ensure efficient service.
• Any kitchen porter duties necessary 

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment (required for both roles).
• Flexibility to work in care homes, schools, or other DBS-restricted settings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• For Chefs: Proven experience in food preparation and kitchen management.
• Drivers preferred but not essential
